Since 2008, arising emissions of sulphur dioxide from the Halemaʻumaʻu volcanic crater at Kīlauea's summit have left to added to levels of volcanic smogginess and air tone concerns. Placed inside Hawaii Island vents internal Park, Kīlauea is visited by millions of tourers every year, arriving the almost visited attraction in Hawaii and the most visited volcano in the world. Despite its relative safety for researchers and visitors alike] Kīlauea is regarded by the USGS as the most grievous volcano in the U.S. In 2010 and early 2011, lava destroyed several houses in the Kalapana area.
